Common Analysis of VET Contexts in Automotive SMEs Across Europe and Latin America

As part of its participation in the VET4CHAINS project, CTA has developed and published the report “Common Analysis of VET4CHAINS Contexts in the Countries: Germany, Colombia, Spain, Mexico”. This document provides a comprehensive assessment of the current training needs of SMEs in the automotive industry, focusing on work-based learning (WBL) and the transition towards sustainable value chains in both European and Latin American countries, specifically Germany, Spain, Colombia, and Mexico.

The report was created through a collaborative process involving key VET4CHAINS partner institutions, including CAMEXA (Mexican-German Chamber of Commerce, Mexico), FIR RWTH-Aachen (Germany), and INFODEF (Spain). The collection and analysis of data were conducted jointly to ensure a broad and representative understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the sector.

This analysis serves as a strategic resource for companies, training institutions, and educators engaged in the VET4CHAINS project, while also offering valuable insights for industry associations, policymakers, and other stakeholders looking to understand the evolving landscape of the automotive sector. The objective of this publication is to provide a practical tool for informed decision-making and to support SMEs in their sustainable transition.

By incorporating perspectives from multiple countries and institutions, this multilateral co-creation process enhances the depth of the analysis, strengthening conclusions and recommendations that contribute to excellence in work-based learning.

Through this initiative, CTA continues to contribute to the development of international networks that foster sustainable practices and the exchange of knowledge, helping to drive the transformation of industries and societies alike.
